YWCA of Queens, located in the heart of downtown Flushing, offers a range of direct services to its community and members, such as English education, social services, food pantry, and a senior citizens program. LFCDC has been partnering with YWCA of Queens since 2020 by providing volunteer support for their food pantry pantry programs. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, roughly 15 volunteers per week performed door-to-door food package delivery services. Every month, roughly 12 LFCDC volunteers pack 100 boxes to support YWCA's Love Sharing Box campaign, where boxes containing essential items such as culturally-appropriate food, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and personal hygiene items are packed. LFCDC also participates at YWCA of Queens' annual gala.

Friendships for Life New York (FFLNY) is located in Whitestone, Queens and is sharing the gift of friendship with homebound elderly New Yorkers in need of companionship and support in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx.
We believe that no one shall grow old alone and without the social connections that make life worth living. To alleviate loneliness and isolation among the elderly New Yorkers we serve, we offer friendly visiting services free of charge for the remainder of their lifetime.
Our programs and caring volunteers build lasting friendships through in-person visits and advocacy, phone companionship, birthday celebrations, social outings, a Thanksgiving meal outreach and our annual Not Alone at Christmas outreach.
The LFCDC Youth Council, with the help of Living Faith Community Church Youth Group, is crafting and writing uplifting Christmas cards to encourage and bring joy to the homebound elderly friends we serve year-round.

“The most rewarding experiences for me this past year were virtually tutoring a student through Hillside, then being invited to watch her fifth grade graduation online, and finally seeing her in person at the Christmas party!”
